蘇獨變成家務事，挺統派大多60歲以上 (擔心養老金、健保、儲蓄)，挺獨派大多在40歲以下 (對前途有信心)。最後幾天兩股勢力大動員，獨派要年輕人向家中老人解釋為什麼該獨，統派也要老人向孩子解釋為什麼該統。民調顯示老一輩人63%以上會投No票，而且年紀較大的登記選民可能多於年輕人，獨派已全力加強向年輕人催票。
