新北市捷運環狀線列車預計於明(104)年10月啟運來台實地試測，交通局15日於市府3樓多功能集會堂舉行發表記者會，指環狀線共有17台列車，每台列車有4節車廂，總長約68公尺，可載客約650人。列車設計由義大利Ansaldo公司負責設計，車身採用流線設計，車廂內外顏色配合全線設計採用黃、白、黑三色塗裝，以明亮清爽為主要調性。

市長朱立倫表示，「三環三線 正在實現！」指上周動工的淡海輕軌線在內，現在共有環狀線、頂埔線、機場線正在施工，萬大中和樹林線也將在下個月動工，三鶯線、安坑輕軌及汐止民生線先期工程也將於年底前陸續開工。預計三環三線完成後，大台北都會區捷運長度將達到300公里，嘉惠700萬民眾。

交通局指出，捷運環狀線全長15.4公里，預計105年底完工，全線設計邀請法國設計師以色彩變化，將列車、車站、高架橋到隔音牆都納入公共藝術設計範圍，讓整條環狀線變成一座超大藝術品，打造為全國第1條獨創的彩色捷運。
