離心泵浦為

1.離心泵浦是由一組含有三至六片葉片的葉輪，置於一扁圓形的外殼。
2.離心泵的葉輪與馬達連接作高速旋轉。液體自葉輪的中心處吸入泵內，隨葉輪轉動而獲得動能後，因離心力被葉片掃入渦形室。渦形室是葉輪與外殼間的空隙，其空隙愈近出口處愈大，使液體的流速愈小，但壓力則愈大。
